Housekeeper - Tile House

Island Healthcare is seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in our care home. The role involves a variety of cleaning and housekeeping duties to support the overall wellbeing of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and tidy resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and other parts of the home to a high standard.

• Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and returning clothing and linens.

• Maintain hygiene and infection control standards throughout the home.

• Report any maintenance or health and safety issues to the appropriate staff.

• Treat residents with dignity and respect, maintaining their privacy at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, ideally in a care or healthcare setting.

• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and health & safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Friendly, approachable, and respectful toward residents and colleagues.

Salary and Benefits

• Monday - Friday £12.30 & weekend £13.53 + overtime is paid at £1.00 extra per hour

• Attendance bonus + 50p per hour if all shifts are attended each month - T&C's apply

• Enhancements paid for relevant NVQ's or equivalent
