Gender Pay Gap

Island Healthcare Ltd is committed to ensuring equal pay and opportunities for all our employees, regardless of their gender. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential for delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients and communities.

We have calculated our gender pay gap figures in line with the statutory requirements using data from 5/5/2022 as our snapshot date. The gender pay gap shows the difference between the average earnings of men and women across our organisation. It is not a measure of equal pay, which compares the pay of men and women doing the same or similar jobs.

Our gender pay gap figures are as follows:

The mean (average) gender pay gap is 0%. This means that on average, women earn £1 for every £1 that men earn when comparing hourly pay.

The median (middle) gender pay gap is 0%. This means that when we line up all the hourly rates of pay for men and women separately, from lowest to highest, the middle value for women is equal to the middle value for men.

The mean bonus gap is not applicable as we do not pay bonuses to our employees.

The median bonus gap is not applicable as we do not pay bonuses to our employees.

The proportion of men and women who received a bonus payment is not applicable as we do not pay bonuses to our employees.

The proportion of men and women in each quartile band is shown in the table below. Quartiles are calculated by dividing our workforce into four equal groups based on their hourly rate of pay, from lowest to highest.

We are pleased to report that we have no gender pay gap in either mean or median terms, which reflects our fair and consistent approach to setting and reviewing salaries across all roles and levels within our organisation.

We also have a balanced representation of men and women across all quartiles, with women occupying 75.3% of the highest paid jobs and 79.5% of the lowest paid jobs.

We recognise that there is always room for improvement and we will continue to monitor and review our policies and practices to ensure that we maintain a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion at Island Healthcare Ltd.
