Jo started at Island Healthcare in 2012 and has worked her way up from a care assistant to Registered Manager. She runs The Hub (our home care service that runs in Cowes) and one of our care homes.

Frequently asked questions for The Hub

We charge an hourly fee which covers all activities agreed in your care plan - If using our transport to escort to appointments there will be a fuel charge.

No, services are charged once a month in arrears and will be invoiced from our head office.

Yes, we are regulated by the CQC.

We have a small bespoke team of individuals and offer continuity of care. Over the upcoming weeks, you will have the opportunity to meet the team and maintain regular contact with the same individuals.

£27.50 per hour or part of this for shorter visits. This is subject to change.

Our staff are employed and managed from the Island Healthcare home nearest to your location. They undergo training to the highest standards and are fully covered by our business insurance.

No problem. However, we require 7 days notice.

We send out monthly invoices.

Our service operates from 7 am to 9 pm. Outside of these hours, our care home can be contacted by telephone, and verbal advice and support will be provided in case of emergency.

We provide daycare services to support respite care but do not offer overnight accommodation.

All of our care staff undergo DBS checks and receive relevant training. Additionally, we conduct lone working risk assessments.

This is a unique and bespoke service. The care and support package is crafted by you, with assistance from our highly trained senior team. Our small team ensures continuity of caregivers and aims to establish an open and trusting relationship from the outset. We agree upon scheduled call times and adhere to them; if we've committed to being there, we will be. Our goal is to make a difference and support individuals in living well in their own homes.
