As a Housekeeper, you’ll work with the cleaning and laundry team to keep things running smoothly. You’ll help make sure every room feels fresh and every corner is cared for. This isn’t just about cleaning — it’s about helping residents feel truly at home.

What Your Day Could Look Like
You’ll help keep the home clean, organised and safe for everyone.
Working with your team to clean rooms and shared spaces
Making sure laundry is washed, labelled and put away
Spot-checking rooms and helping with deep cleaning
Helping cover shifts for holidays or busy periods
Encouraging good teamwork between care and housekeeping staff
Keeping cupboards stocked and equipment in good order
What We’d Love You to Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s hard-working, helpful and takes real pride in their work.
Able to plan your day and get things done
Happy to work with others as part of a team
Confident using cleaning products safely (COSHH awareness)
Kind and respectful around residents and their space
Some cleaning or team-leading experience is a bonus
Housekeeping NVQ would be helpful, but not essential

We currently operate six care homes and a domiciliary care service, serving 160 people. Island Healthcare is passionate about our residents and put them at the heart of everything we do.
